3 Holes Zirconia Ceramic Blade

INNOVACERA’s Zirconia Ceramic 3 Holes Slitting Blade is specifically designed for precise slitting of industrial films, foils and thin materials. Available in dimensions of 43 × 22 × 0.2 mm, 0.3 mm, and 0.4 mm in thickness, this blade offers flexibility for different slitting requirements. Leveraging the excellent hardness, wear resistance and thermal stability of zirconia ceramics, this blade can remain sharp for a long time in high strength continuous production environments, significantly reducing the number of blade replacements and downtime.

3 Holes Zirconia Ceramic Blade

Zirconia ceramic blades are high performance cutting tools that combine advanced material technology with precise manufacturing processes. Their core features can be summarized as “high hardness, strong corrosion resistance, and high cleanliness”, but they also have a drawback of “brittleness”. The specific characteristics are as

follows:

1. Extremely high hardness, maintaining sharpness for a long time
2. Chemically inert, never rusting
3. High cleanliness, safe and non-toxic
4. Dense material, easy to clean
5. Inherent brittleness, poor impact resistance

Applications:

1. Plastic film manufacturing (PE/PET/BOPP/PA, etc.)
2. Slitting of lithium battery separators and electrode materials
3. Optical display films (polarizing films, diffusing films)
4. Food and pharmaceutical packaging composite films
5. Metal foils (copper foil, aluminum foil) and self adhesive materials

Why Choose Zro2 Ceramic Blades?

Compared with traditional steel or hard alloy blades, zirconia ceramic blades have three major advantages when slitting films:

  1. 1. No metal contamination: No metal particles fall off, suitable for clean workshops and electronicgrade film production;
  2. 2. Longlasting sharpness: The high wear resistance of ceramics makes the blade life 3-5 times that of some metal blades;
  3. 3. Chemical corrosion resistance: It is less likely to rust or become dull when dealing with films containing coating liquids or organic solvents.

If your slitting production line is confronted with frequent blade replacement, excessive dust and burrs, or metal contamination, 3 hole zirconia ceramic blades offer an effective upgrade solution.

FAQ

The 3 holes zirconia ceramic blade is specifically designed for precise slitting of industrial thin materials, including plastic films (PE/PET/BOPP), lithium battery separators, optical display films, and metal foils (copper/aluminum foil). Thanks to the extreme Vickers Hardness (1,200.00 kg/mm ²) and wear resistance of ZrO2 material, these blades can maintain their sharpness significantly longer in high-strength continuous production environments. Their lifespan is typically 3 to 5 times longer than traditional steel or hard alloy blades, which greatly reduces downtime and replacement frequency.

ZrO2 ceramic blades are the ideal choice for clean workshops and electronic-grade film production because they are chemically inert, never rust, and cause zero metal contamination (no metal particles fall off during slitting). However, while they feature high bending strength (2,500 MPa), zirconia ceramics have inherent brittleness and poor impact resistance. Therefore, during installation and operation, users should avoid dropping the blades or subjecting them to sudden lateral impacts to prevent chipping or fracture.
