Dual-Pin High Voltage Ceramic Insulator

INNOVACERA’s dual-pin high-voltage ceramic insulator is a ceramic-to-metal assembly designed to transmit electrical power through the wall of a vacuum chamber while maintaining electrical insulation and vacuum integrity. It is suitable for vacuum coating equipment,thermal evaporation systems,vacuum heating assemblies,and other applications requiring reliable electrical connections within a sealed chamber.

Quote/Order

The two independently insulated terminals can be connected to evaporation sources,heating elements,electrodes,or other internal electrical components.Externally threaded conductor rods simplify connections to cables,busbars and electrodes,while the stainless steel base allows secure welded integration with the vacuum chamber or mounting flange.
The ceramic-to-metal assembly combines 96% alumina ceramic,Kovar conductor components, C1220 copper components,and a SUS304 stainless-steel base.This construction provides electrical insulation,mechanical stability,and vacuum sealing performance during vacuum operation and repeated temperature cycling.An optional quartz glass shield can also be supplied to help protect the ceramic insulation and connection area from evaporated materials and process deposits.

Why Use a Ceramic-to-Metal High Voltage Insulator?

Conventional electrical connections may be affected by aging, outgassing,reduced insulation performance,or seal degradation under vacuum,temperature cycling,and continuous electrical loading.A ceramic-to-metal high-voltage insulator combines the good electrical insulation of alumina ceramic with the mechanical strength and weldability of metal components and have below advantages:
1.Reliable electrical isolation between the conductors and the vacuum chamber;
2.Stable electrical power transmission through the chamber wall;
3.Secure welded integration with the vacuum chamber or mounting flange;
4.Good heat resistance and dimensional stability;
5.Lower outgassing risk than conventional polymer-insulated structures;
6.Suitability for long-term vacuum operation and repeated temperature cycling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a dual-pin high voltage ceramic insulator? How does ceramic-to-metal sealing benefit vacuum systems?

Conventional polymer seals often suffer from outgassing, heat degradation, and aging under continuous electrical load. A dual-pin ceramic-to-metal insulator—combining 96% alumina ceramic, Kovar, and a SUS304 welded base—provides superior electrical insulation, ultra-low outgassing, and robust hermetic sealing against process leaks. It ensures safe, reliable high-power transmission through chamber walls during repeated thermal cycling in vacuum coating and thermal evaporation systems.

Can I order custom high voltage ceramic insulators? What project specifications do manufacturers require?

Yes, professional manufacturers like INNOVACERA provide custom ceramic-to-metal high-voltage insulators tailored to your specific drawings, samples, and vacuum system requirements. To get an accurate quote and engineering evaluation, simply provide your required dimensions, operating voltage, current per pin, vacuum level, installation method, and working temperature.
