ZTA Ceramic Composite Mud Pump Liner

INNOVACERA’s ZTA ceramic composite pump cylinder liner is a core wear resistant component for the hydraulic end of the pump, specifically designed for extreme working conditions such as oil drilling and shale gas fracturing. The ceramic pump liner adopts an advanced “metal shell + ZTA (zirconia reinforced alumina) ceramic liner” composite structure, perfectly combining the high toughness of metal with the extremely high hardness of ceramics. Compared to traditional dual metal cylinder liners, its wear resistance and corrosion resistance have been significantly improved, which can greatly extend the service life of the equipment in high-pressure and high-sand-containing mud environments. At the same time, the micro scale precision inner hole processing effectively protects the piston seal, making it an ideal choice for helping drilling engineering reduce costs, increase efficiency and improve operation efficiency.

Mud Pump Ceramic Liner

Advantages:

1.Extremely long service life: The ZTA ceramic liner has extremely high hardness and outperforms ordinary metal cylinder liners in terms of wear resistance, significantly reducing the frequency of replacements.
2.High impact resistance: The unique composite structure combines the toughness of metal with the hardness of ceramic, effectively resisting high pressure reciprocating impacts.
3.Precise sealing: The inner hole is precisely machined to micrometer accuracy, with a high surface finish, which can effectively protect the piston sealing components, reduce leakage, and improve pump efficiency.
4.Corrosion and high temperature resistance: It can withstand the erosion of sand containing drilling fluids and the temperature fluctuations caused by frequent start ups and stops.

FAQ

A ZTA (Zirconia Toughened Alumina) ceramic mud pump liner is a high-performance component combining a high-strength metal outer shell with a wear-resistant ZTA ceramic inner sleeve. Compared to traditional dual-metal liners, its hardness reaches up to 1475 HV, offering significantly superior wear and corrosion resistance. This composite design effectively withstands abrasive, sand-heavy drilling muds, drastically reducing replacement frequency and lowering long-term maintenance costs.

ZTA ceramic is highly suitable for extreme drilling and fracturing environments due to its exceptional fracture toughness (6 MPa·m¹/²) and high-temperature resistance (up to 450°C). In high-pressure, large-flow environments, the micrometer-level precision of its inner hole maintains a high surface finish. This design effectively protects the piston seals from abrasive wear, minimizes fluid leakage, and optimizes the overall operating efficiency of the pump.
