Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) Ceramics

Innovacera’s Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) ceramics are ultra-high-purity (99.99%) hexagonal boron nitride materials manufactured via chemical vapor deposition (CVD), producing dense, impervious structures with crystals aligned parallel to the deposition surface. This unique anisotropic microstructure delivers exceptional thermal conductivity in-plane and low through-plane conductivity, outstanding thermal shock resistance, and sustained mechanical strength up to 2200°C. Ideal for extreme environments, Innovacera’s PBN resists corrosion from acids, alkalis, molten metals, and semiconductors while offering high electrical insulation, infrared/microwave transparency, and precise machinability. Key applications include crucibles for crystal growth (VGF, LEC, MBE), MOCVD heaters, infrared windows, TWT components, and high-temperature vacuum insulators.

Silicon Nitride Ceramics

Silicon Nitride (Si₃N₄) Ceramics are advanced, high-performance materials known for their exceptional fracture toughness, low density, and outstanding resistance to thermal shock, making them one of the few monolithic ceramics capable of withstanding extreme thermal gradients, such as those in hydrogen and oxygen rocket engines. Si₃N₄ is about 60% lighter than steel yet offers superior strength, making it an ideal alternative to metals and first-generation ceramics in demanding environments. It is widely used in industries including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, electronics, and foundries. INNOVACERA’s Silicon Nitride Ceramics, processed by gas pressure sintering, achieve a dense, nonporous microstructure that ensures high contact fatigue resistance and mechanical reliability. Key applications include precision ceramic balls and rollers, thermocouple protection sheaths for molten metal handling, long-lasting ceramic weld location pins, high-strength electronic substrates, and durable electric heating elements. These components consistently outperform traditional materials in terms of longevity, efficiency, and thermal stability.

Zirconia Ceramics

Zirconia (ZrO₂) Ceramics are advanced industrial materials renowned for their outstanding hardness, fracture toughness, and corrosion resistance, effectively overcoming the inherent brittleness of traditional ceramics. Often called “ceramic steel” for their excellent crack resistance and high thermal expansion, Zirconia Ceramics are particularly suitable for applications requiring strong ceramic-to-metal bonding. They possess the highest toughness and strength at room temperature among advanced ceramics and are widely used in grinding media, nozzles, valve seats, fiber optic components, cutting tools, and other wear-resistant parts. Their applications span diverse fields such as thermal insulation, catalysis, healthcare, and textiles. Zirconia (ZrO₂) Ceramics are typically precision machined using diamond tools on specialized equipment including CNC machines, grinders, and lathes. Innovacera manufactures a wide range of Zirconia Ceramic components, including valves, pump liners, rollers, pistons, sleeves, and precision ceramic balls.

Boron Nitride Ceramics

Boron Nitride Ceramics

Boron Nitride has a layered microstructure analogous to graphite which enhances its machinability, while also giving it low-friction characteristics. Ceramics based on boron nitride are offered in multiple forms of high purity such as Pyrolytic BN (up to 99.99%) and composite grades like BAN, BSC, and BMA which are engineered by combining Bn with aluminum nitride, zirconium oxide and silicon carbide to augment particular attributes. These ceramics are made mainly by hot pressed sintering or chemical vapor deposition. Boron Nitride ceramics further possess high thermal conductivity with low electrical conductivity, and are still able to withstand thermal shock and chemical attacks, making these BN ceramics broadly applicable in electronics for thermal control, high temperature environments like plasma arc equipment and semiconductor processing, and handling molten metals because of their non-reactive nature and stable temperatures. These materials, depending on the composition, offer various mechanical strength in powder metallurgy, crucibles, casting molds, components for high-temperature furnaces, and lightweight support structures.
