MCH Heater VS PTC Heater

MCH Heater VS PTC Heater

What’s the difference between MCH heater and PTC heater?

MCH heater is short for metal-ceramic heater. It is a new type of heater which is highly efficient and more environmental, energy-saving. It can save to save more than 20% to 30% power effect compare to the PTC heater. It has excellent insulation performance. MCH heater widely used in all kinds of industries. Such as flat hair iron, soldering iron, soldering station, water heating, pellet boiler, e-cig, 3D printer heater, etc.

MCH heater is rapid heating. It can reach 900 degrees in 50 seconds.

PTC heater is short for positive temperature coefficient and widely used for their enable safe, powerful, and energy-efficient heat transfer. The application of power on the PTC can work with a robust safety system, and you will never worry about the overheating even you forgot to switch off your use after work.

Laser pumping cavity ceramic reflector

ceramic reflector

Introduction to ceramic reflector
The material of the ceramic reflector is 99% Al2O3. Its green body is fired at a suitable temperature to retain the proper porosity and strength. The surface of the ceramic reflector is coated with a high reflectivity ceramic glaze, so compared with the gold-plated reflector, it has long service life and diffuse reflection.

Production Process

  • Preparation of the green body
  • Preparation of glaze slurry: raw material weighing – grinding – screening
  • Glazing: glazing by spraying
  • Glaze burning: the glazed product is burning at a high temperature
  • Inspection: Appearance inspection, dimensional measurement, and reflectance measurement
  • Packaging

Prime Features

  • Surfaces can be sealed and coated with a solarization-resistant glaze to give high bulk reflectivity
  • 97% reflectance efficiency at 600-1000nm
  • Reflectance efficiency exceeds 95% across the wavelength range 400-1200nm (see curve)
  • Controlled porosity
  • Good thermal conductivity
  • High electrical resistivity

Precautions for the use of ceramic reflectors

  • In the process of transportation, storage and assembly, it is prohibited from serious external damage, such as falling off to the ground and the size is not suitable for forced pressing into the shell
  • The semi-glazed ceramic reflector must be sealed with the shell to prevent it from inhaling a large amount of coolant, resulting in a decrease in power
  • During assembly and maintenance, it is forbidden to scratch the reflective surface of the ceramic to decreasing the reflectivity
  • In the short-wavelength (eg 755nm) high-temperature systems, it is important to pay attention to the choice of cooling system piping and equipment materials for avoiding free metal oxides contaminating the ceramic surface

The Application of Alumina and SiC Porous Ceramics

Alumina and SiC Porous Ceramics

Application:
Semiconductor wafer processing, laser numerical control processing, PCB, flexible screen, precision grinder, air floating platform, air bearing, optical components.
1) The smaller the pore size, the greater the resistance and the greater the degree of vacuum required, but the greater the suction power obtained.
2) The maximum use temperature of alumina/silicon carbide microporous ceramics is about 1000 ° C, and the maximum use temperature is also related to size and shape. Still, if glue is stuck, it can only be lower than 100 ° C.
3) Microporous ceramics generally do not mention the roughness problem, because there are micropores, but the surface smoothness is similar to Ra0.8 of dense ceramics.
4) Low thermal conductivity. Only dense materials will have high thermal conductivity.
5) Microporous ceramics cannot be used in a humid environment or come into contact with conductive liquids. Otherwise, they will not be insulated.

Boron Nitride Molten Metal Atomizing Nozzles

Boron Nitride ceramic is a kind of refractory ceramic with low expansion and high thermal conductivity. This makes it to be an ideal choice to molten metals. It’s effortless to be machined to custom design with precision and tight tolerance because of its machinability.

Boron nitride can be long-term used at 1800 degrees under vacuum atmosphere. With gas protection, Boron Nitride can be used at 2100 °C. Boron Nitride is with high thermal shock resistance, no cracks under extreme cold & high temperature. If you take out Boron Nitride from 1000 degree-furnace and cooling it within short minutes. It still won’t break even repeat this test 100 times.
